The Comparing Numbers Unit involves understanding the relative position and magnitude of whole numbers, and their relationships within the numeration system. Students will answer questions such as:
- Which group has more? Less?
- Do any groups have the same number? How do you know?
Instructional Tasks/Formative Assessments
Students determine if Audrey and Stella put the same number of markers in the marker can.
Students determine where the greatest number of cats is sitting.
The N/A classification refers to TEKS Standards that cannot be assessed through problem solving.
For this reason, tasks have not been included for these particular standards.
